Here is a more advance logging function which actually creates two log entries, each time a person logs in. First, it adds an entry on a daily log file, normally available to an administrator. It could easily be adapted to show the 5 most recent logins... Second, it creates a user log for each person, making it easy to show a complete record of that person's login history. Any other desired information could be logged as well, by creating a page variable for it in a config file and inserting it into the log entry. Extremely flexible!
